In the early 1700’s or even before that, navigators, explorers and scientist were already very particular about a timepiece or a device that will give them the exact and accurate information on the time to enable them to record and measure fractions of a second to be used in their scientific experiments, navigations and astronomical observations.
It was in the early 1700’s that the term ‘chronometer’ was coined by Jeremy Thacker of Beverly, England. It was in 1714 to be exact. The invention of the first marine chronometer by John Harrison in 1730 made navigation easy to explorers and traders alike to explore and trade at sea in that era. The same chronometer was also used for air navigation and astronomy.
From then on, chronometers were already used by many whether at sea, air or just for the purpose of recording and measuring time in the highest level of accuracy.
And then, in 1884- Leon Breitling, in the Jura mountains of St. Imier, Switzerland- founded the Breitling Company and opened a shop making chronometers and chronographs in the best quality and accuracy which were to be used at sea, air, astronomical and scientific studies .
From then on, these timepieces were improved over the years, thus creating a perfect timepiece every time. However, for the past several years there is now the existence of Breitling fake watches in the market and just as ‘good’ as the real ones or is it? But for those who knew the perfect composition of the original ones can tell which one is genuine and which one is not. Just remember that Breitling watches were created in utmost quality and accuracy. Breitling fake watches are just as alluring and captivating as well. You might be bewitched, enticed, tempted or intrigued.
